Accessibility Statement
This statement was last updated on February 2026.
We at Cognidarn Therapeutics are working to make our site https://www.cognidarn.com accessible to people with disabilities.
CogniDarn Accessibility Statement
At CogniDarn Therapeutics International Pvt Ltd (“CogniDarn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), accessibility is not an afterthought — it is a core part of who we are. Our work is dedicated to supporting children with neurodevelopmental differences, autism, and sensory processing challenges, and the families who care for them. It would be a profound contradiction for us to deliver services that are themselves inaccessible to the very community we exist to serve.
This Accessibility Statement outlines our commitment to making our website, digital products, and services as inclusive, navigable, and usable as possible for all individuals — regardless of disability, neurodivergence, technological access, or communication style. It also sets out the standards we aspire to meet, the areas where we are still improving, and the ways in which you can contact us if you experience a barrier.
This statement applies to our primary website at www.cognidarn.com, our digital product delivery platform, and any online learning environment hosted or operated by CogniDarn.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
CogniDarn is committed to ensuring that our digital presence meets the needs of all users, including those who:
-
Are blind or have low vision and rely on screen readers or magnification tools
-
Are Deaf or hard of hearing and require captions, transcripts, or visual alternatives to audio content
-
Have motor or physical disabilities and navigate using keyboard-only input, switch controls, or alternative pointing devices
-
Are neurodivergent — including autistic individuals, those with ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, or sensory processing differences — who may benefit from clear structure, plain language, reduced visual noise, or adjustable content
-
Experience cognitive fatigue, executive function challenges, or processing differences that benefit from predictable, well-organised layouts
-
Access our content via older devices, slower internet connections, or assistive technology software
We believe that digital accessibility is a matter of equity. Every person who comes to our platform deserves to access information and support with dignity, ease, and independence.
Standards We Are Working Towards
CogniDarn aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the internationally recognised benchmark for digital accessibility and is organised around four core principles:
-
Perceivable: Information and interface components must be presentable to all users in ways they can perceive. This includes providing text alternatives for non-text content, captions for audio, and sufficient colour contrast.
-
Operable: Interface components and navigation must be operable by all users, including those who do not use a mouse. This includes keyboard accessibility, sufficient time limits, and avoidance of content that could trigger seizures or vestibular disorders.
-
Understandable: Information and the operation of the interface must be understandable. This includes readable text, predictable navigation, and error identification.
-
Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents and assistive technologies, including current and future tools.
In addition, given the nature of our audience, we are guided by the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and neurodiversity-affirming design, which go beyond compliance to create genuinely inclusive user experiences.
Current Accessibility Features
We have implemented, or are actively working to implement, the following accessibility features across our website and digital products:
3.1 Website Design & Navigation
-
Consistent, predictable page layouts across our website to reduce cognitive load and support navigation for users with executive function difficulties.
-
Clear, descriptive headings and logical heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) to enable screen reader users and users with cognitive disabilities to understand and navigate content structure.
-
Keyboard navigability throughout our website — all interactive elements (buttons, links, forms, menus) can be accessed and activated without a mouse.
-
Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements so that keyboard and switch-access users can always see where they are on the page.
-
Skip navigation links at the top of each page, allowing users to bypass repeated header content and jump directly to the main content area.
-
Responsive design: our website is designed to function correctly across a wide range of screen sizes, including mobile phones and tablets, without loss of content or functionality.
3.2 Visual Design & Colour
-
Colour contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for standard body text and 3:1 for large text, in compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
-
We do not use colour alone to convey information. Supporting visual cues (icons, labels, patterns) are used alongside colour to ensure content is accessible to users with colour vision deficiency.
-
Text is resizable up to 200% using browser zoom settings without loss of content or functionality.
-
Avoidance of flashing, strobing, or rapidly animating content that may trigger photosensitive epilepsy or vestibular distress.
3.3 Text & Language
-
We are committed to using plain, clear language throughout our website content and product materials. We aim for a reading level accessible to the general adult public, avoiding unnecessary jargon.
-
Page language is declared in the HTML of each page to support accurate screen reader pronunciation.
-
Abbreviations and technical or clinical terms are explained on first use.
3.4 Images, Video & Audio
-
All meaningful images on our website include descriptive alternative text (alt text) that conveys the purpose and content of the image to screen reader users.
-
Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
-
We are progressively working to add closed captions to all video content within our digital products and on our website. New video content published from the date of this statement will include captions as standard.
-
Where video content includes significant visual information conveyed without narration, we are working to provide audio descriptions.
-
Transcripts are being developed for all audio-primary content, including podcast-style educational materials and key webinar recordings.
3.5 Forms & Interactive Elements
-
All form fields on our website include clearly associated labels that are programmatically linked to their inputs.
-
Error messages are clearly worded, specific, and presented in a manner accessible to screen readers, identifying both the field in error and the nature of the error.
-
Sufficient time is provided to complete forms. Where session timeouts occur, users are warned in advance and given the opportunity to extend their session.
-
CAPTCHA, where used, includes an accessible audio alternative.
3.6 Calm Brain Music Series — Sensory Accessibility Considerations
Given the therapeutic nature of our Calm Brain Music Series, we are acutely aware of the following sensory accessibility considerations:
-
Audio content is provided at standardised volume levels. We strongly recommend that users adjust playback volume to a personally comfortable level using their own device controls prior to beginning a session.
-
All music and frequency-based content is clearly described in accompanying text, including the intended neurological or sensory effect, so that users can make an informed decision about engagement before listening.
-
We include content advisories where audio content involves specific frequencies or binaural elements that may not be appropriate for all users, including individuals with auditory processing sensitivities or those using hearing aids.
-
Transcripts or descriptive notes are provided alongside all non-lyrical audio content so that Deaf or hard of hearing users can access the intent and context of each track.
Accessibility of Our Live & Recorded Events
CogniDarn recognises that workshops, webinars, and programs must also be accessible, not just our website. We are committed to the following practices for all live and recorded events:
-
Registration forms for all events are designed to include an accessibility requirements field, where participants can notify us of any access needs in advance. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate requests received at least 5 business days before the event.
-
Live webinars and workshops are hosted on platforms that support closed captioning. We are actively working toward providing live captioning (CART — Communication Access Realtime Translation) as a standard feature for all live events.
-
Recordings of events are edited to include accurate closed captions before being made available to participants.
-
Presentation slides and written materials associated with our workshops are made available to registered participants in accessible digital formats (PDF with tagged structure, or editable document format) in advance of the session wherever possible.
-
We are working to ensure that all written handouts, worksheets, and program materials meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for document accessibility, including appropriate heading structure, alt text for images, and sufficient colour contrast.
-
For multi-week programs, we offer flexibility in session scheduling and delivery where a participant’s disability or neurodivergence requires it. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
-
British Sign Language (BSL) or Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation can be arranged for live events upon advance request, subject to interpreter availability. Please contact us at least 10 business days before the event.
Accessibility of Our Clinical Services
Our clinical services — including assessments, consultations, and neural integration planning — are designed to be delivered in a manner that is sensitive to the individual needs of each child and family. In this context, accessibility means more than digital compliance. It means:
-
Intake forms and pre-assessment questionnaires are available in plain language versions upon request.
-
Families who require communication support — such as additional processing time, simplified written summaries, or visual format reports — are invited to advise us of this need at the point of booking. We will accommodate such requests wherever clinically and practically possible.
-
Clinical reports and neural integration plans can be provided in an accessible digital format and, on request, in a simplified summary version alongside the full clinical document.
-
Video consultations are available as an alternative to in-person sessions, using platforms that support closed captioning and screen sharing.
-
We do not discriminate against any client on the basis of disability, neurodivergence, communication style, language, or access need. Every family that works with CogniDarn has the right to receive our services in a manner that is dignified and equitable.
Known Limitations & Areas Under Active Improvement
We are committed to transparency. At the time of this statement, the following known accessibility gaps exist on our platform and are under active remediation:
-
Some older video content within our digital products library does not yet have closed captions. We are systematically working through our back catalogue and aim to have all existing video content captioned by [Target Date - December 2027].
-
Some PDF documents available for download may not be fully tagged for screen reader accessibility. We are reviewing and re-publishing these documents in accessible formats as a priority.
-
Our third-party payment gateway and course delivery platform have components that are outside our direct control. We are working with our platform providers to advocate for and implement accessibility improvements on those integrated pages.
-
Live captioning is not yet available on all live events. We are actively evaluating CART providers and expect to introduce this as a standard offering by December 2027.
We welcome feedback on any accessibility barriers you encounter that are not listed here. Your reports directly inform our accessibility improvement roadmap.
Neurodiversity-Affirming Design Principles
Because CogniDarn’s community is itself neurodivergent, we go beyond standard accessibility compliance and apply the following neurodiversity-affirming design principles across our content and platform:
-
Low Sensory Visual Design: We avoid overwhelming patterns, busy backgrounds, or excessive animation that may cause visual overload for autistic users or individuals with sensory sensitivities.
-
Predictable Structure: Every page and every document follows a consistent structure so that users can develop a reliable mental model of our content, reducing the cognitive effort required to navigate.
-
Plain Language First: We write in plain language as our default. Clinical terminology is used only where necessary and is always explained in accessible terms alongside.
-
Chunked Information: Content is broken into clearly labelled sections rather than presented in long, dense blocks of text, to support users with attention, working memory, or reading difficulties.
-
Multiple Means of Engagement: Where possible, we provide information in more than one format — written text, audio, video, and visual summary — in recognition of the diverse ways in which our community processes information.
-
Non-Time-Pressured Interactions: We avoid time-limited pop-ups, countdowns, or pressure-based design patterns on our website that may create anxiety or disadvantage users who process information at a different pace.
-
Respectful Language: All content produced by CogniDarn uses identity-affirming, respectful language. We do not use deficit-based or pathologising framing in our content, and we welcome feedback if any of our language falls short of this commitment.
Third-Party Content & Platforms
CogniDarn uses a number of third-party tools and platforms to deliver its services, including payment processors, video hosting services, email platforms, and learning management systems. While we work with partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we acknowledge that:
-
We cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party platforms or content that is outside our direct control.
-
Where we become aware of accessibility barriers on third-party platforms used to deliver our services, we will report these to the relevant provider and advocate for their remediation.
-
If a third-party platform presents a barrier that prevents you from accessing a product or service you have purchased from CogniDarn, please contact us and we will work with you to find an accessible alternative means of delivery.
We encourage all users to also review the accessibility statements of the third-party platforms we use, where available.
Requesting an Accessible Format or Alternative Access
If any content or service offered by CogniDarn is not accessible to you in its current form, you have the right to request it in an alternative accessible format or via an alternative means of delivery. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate such requests.
To request an accessible alternative, please contact us at accesswith:
-

Review & Ongoing Commitment
This Accessibility Statement was prepared in February 2026 and will be reviewed and updated at least annually, or following any significant changes to our website, platform, or service delivery model.
Accessibility is not a project with an end date — it is an ongoing commitment. As technology evolves, as our community’s needs shift, and as accessibility standards are updated, CogniDarn commits to evolving with them. We will track and publish our progress against known accessibility gaps and welcome accountability from our community in holding us to that commitment.
We also commit to involving neurodivergent individuals and disabled community members in the testing and review of our accessibility improvements wherever possible, recognising that lived experience is the most accurate and meaningful measure of accessibility
